Financial Information
Dr. Jefcoat and her staff are an exceptional team whose primary mission is to deliver the finest and most comprehensive periodontal and dental implant services available today. We are concerned about your dental care and extend every effort to ensure it is performed in the most reasonable manner. In order to assist you with the investment in your dental health, we have outlined our payment policy.
COST FOR CARE
Since all patients' needs are different, Dr. Jefcoat must complete your examination before establishing your treatment plan and the fee for care. The fee for periodontal and dental implant treatment can vary considerably depending upon the type of problems and the complexity and length of treatment. An approximate fee can usually be determined at the intial visit; but on occasion, some initial treatment or further diagnostics must be completed before the final treatment plan can be established. Our philosophy of practice is to treat as conservatively as possible to attain treatment goals.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks and major credit card payment (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express). For patients who prefer an extended payment plan, we offer convenient, flexible financing through CareCredit®. If you are interested in using CareCredit® for your treatment, you can find more information at www.carecredit.com.

INSURANCE COVERAGE
For those patients who have dental insurance coverage, we will gladly file your claim on your behalf . Please remember that you are fully responsible to pay for your estimated payment portion on the day of your procedure.
Our insurance coordinators deal with many different insurance companies and are eager to get the benefits entitled to you. Some companies offer many different dental and medical plans. These dental plans all have many limitations and arbitrary restrictions. They can change benefits, co-pays and deductibles many times throughout the year. We do our best to provide you with accurate coverage estimates based on information available to us. At times, it is almost impossible to accurately estimate our patients’ insurance co-payment. Many insurance companies will not give out fees until the treatment is completed. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time consuming. As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is current.
Furthermore, most dental insurance policies are limited in the annual amount of coverage they offer (usually $1000 per year) and often only pay for a portion of the procedure(s) that may need to be done. The majority of dental plans reimburse approximately 30%-80% of treatment costs. We are uncompromising in the quality of service we provide and therefore do not plan your treatment based on your insurance coverage. For your convenience, we are an in-network provider with the following insurance companies: Cigna, Delta Dental and Dentemax (which is an umbrella company consisting of about 30+ other insurance companies). Please check with your provider directly to determine if we are an in-network provider.
